Owned by HM Treasury, UK Government Investments (UKGI) provides expertise in corporate finance and corporate governance to government departments, advising in support of their policy objectives. Independently managed, UKGI brings together the functions of the Shareholder Executive (ShEx was formerly part of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) and UK Financial Investments Ltd (UKFI) under a single holding company.

UKGI works across government on some of its most interesting and complex commercial tasks. We work closely with both the private and public sectors, advising and interacting with ministers, Parliament and Whitehall departments.

Act as a shareholder representative for, and lead establishment of, UK government’s most complex and commercial arm’s length bodies (ALBs) on behalf of sponsor departments
